Sensient Flavors Belgium is a Center of Excellence for the creation and manufacture of dairy and confectionery flavors and ingredients. It serves customers in Benelux through the sales team based in Leuven near Brussels, which is also home to creative and manufacturing facilities, and works closely with all Sensient European and Asian businesses to supply exceptional products for customers in their markets.
Innovative Market Focused Product Range
Sensient Flavors Belgium’s customer service is very much based on concepts and systems rather than individual ingredients. This applies across the full range of ice cream and confectionery products, including for example developing sophisticated liquid concentrates for premium quality hot beverages for customers in the beverage vending market and heat stable and fruit preparations for the bakery market. All of this is of course supported by innovation from our marketing and creative teams, who work side by side to constantly meet customer requirements and look for the next trend in the dairy and confectionery markets.

Centres of Excellence
Dairy is a special area of expertise for Sensient. In Leuven we manufacture all the ingredients for ice cream, except the milk – flavors, flavor bases, ribbons, caramels, sauces, and inclusions. We also have the capability of producing and packing sauces for beverages and vending systems and manufacture chocolate and caramels syrups for some of the most popular products in the ice cream and hot and dairy style beverage industries.
Sensient Belgium is the key center in Europe for these products and has a special capability in making water based rather than fat based products giving higher flavor impact with better healthy credentials than typical fat based alternatives.
Production facilities in Leuven are state of the art. Allergen management in these systems is critical requiring segregated locations for handling milk products, biscuit products containing wheat, nuts and other listed allergens. Manufacturing consistency is also critical. Sauces must have defined consistent rheological properties if they are to perform at high efficiency in customers’ factories to produce consistent finished products with minimal line losses. Our expert staff, based in Leuven, are well versed in handling these requirements giving the ability to be fully creative in product design without limitation from these considerations.
